Florida Family Network, Inc. aims its efforts and partnerships towards strengthening the roots that produce strong families.
The Florida Family Network, Inc. (FFN) is a community based agency since 2003. FFN's main goal is to restore and preserve the family structure, through networking, partnerships and collaboration with other public and private agencies.
FFN is about family empowerment and preservation. FFN is one voice that advocates for healthy families within healthy environments and communities. FFN is the vehicle for supporting families to become strong and self-sufficient. FFN is dedicated to strengthening and enhancing family and community life by offering locally based prevention, supportive services and coordinating partnerships with the affected families and communities. Our major approach is to encourage public and private agencies to work together; become more preventive, responsive, flexible, family-focused, strengths-based and holistic, and thus more effective in positive outcomes.

Purpose
- To advocate, educate and promote self-sufficiency among families by strengthening the family foundation;
- To serve at-risk youth and promote leadership and character development;
- To assist in building assets (educational, social and financial) within families and communities;
- To advocate for policies that will strengthen families and its communities;
- To reduce the disparity among broken families, and single-headed families;
- To assist in reducing the emotional trauma for families as a result of juvenile delinquency and incarceration of the parent(s) or child(ren);
- To promote research and policies that relates to strengthening families and communities;
- To promote, support and empower parent leadership, healthy families, parental involvement from pregnancy prevention, safe-sex practices, abstinence to prenatal care and well baby wellness;
- To empower and build strong partnerships by interconnecting collaborations that cross interdisciplinary areas;
- To build an insurmountable coalition or support networks that legitimizes restorative practices for families to engage in action that promotes the children, families and communities to become proactive and empowered.
Our Objectives
- Encourage building strong and self sufficient families;
- To build partnerships with families and other organizations/agencies working together to improve the family structure: economical and psychological;
- To collaborate with state, federal, and public/private agencies to design and influence state/federal policies for the working poor and poverty stricken families;
- To address the psychosocial and socio-environmental causes of problems that attribute to dysfunctional families;
- To promote outcome base approaches for improving the well-being of families;
- Provide parent education, child development education, peer support, and parent & child development activities;
- Connecting social, physical, educational and economic systems in ways that sharpen the family's focus on resources to maximize positive outcomes;
- To use community-based participatory research and best practices models to impact long range and sustainable results;
- To collaborate with agencies to fulfill need assessments in a culturally appropriate manner that will produce positive outcomes that are culturally aligned and specific to the populations;
- To promote increase parental involvement in children's lives;
- To identify gaps in services with local and state agencies and match service gaps with community based/faith based organizations to ensure youth and their families' needs are addressed;
- To design and develop models that will build upon existing family strengths and incorporate community support for the good of the family and their communities.
